The receiver was retuned and adjusted at 19:30 UT on 15 April 2000. Tuning was optimized for 24 KHz, based on the oscilloscope monitor of the intermediate RF stage. The time between RF half-cycles after retuning the antenna was slightly more than 40 microseconds. There may be some crosstalk with a signal at about 25 KHz. Since Cutler goes off the air for maintenance on Mondays, a test for crosstalk is whether the record goes to zero during their maintenance times. Cutler has been intermittant recently. They are expected to return to a regular pattern the week of April 17, 2000. The gain of the final stage was reduced to see if this would eliminate the saturation that is evident in the recent daytime records. A 0.47 microfarad high pass filter capacitor to ground was added between the A-to-D converter and the output of the voltage follower from the receiver. There was a strong coupling of 1 MHz noise from the computer system back into the amplifier, which this capacitor eliminates. The graphics template was modified to change the vertical scaling to match the signal levels now being recorded.
